Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition IS a good game. In fact, it's better than it's original GameCube version, and the watered down PS2 version. The only thing the PS2 had that GameCube didn't was a weapon and new play modes, but the Wii Edition has those plus the graphics from the GameCube version which were MUCH better than the PS2 version's graphics. Also, the controls on Wii Edition are one of the best parts about the game because of how well they work. RedSteel is a good game for a launch title (it's a shooter), I liked the controls mainly though. A lot of people will not recommend this one because it's "buggy. " but they're just following the mass opinions because it's "What's cool. " I didn't really find any bugs that most normal games don't have... every game has bugs and glitches. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, and the House of the Dead games are on-rail shooters, but are pretty fun if you're into the classic arcade style shooting games. I like these ones because they're pretty fun to play with a friend. Keep in mind, though, House of the Dead is well known for its cheesy and accidentally hilarious dialogue. MadWorld and No more Heroes are GREAT games if you want something with more blood and violence, however, these games both have very strong language and tons of sexual references, so keep this in mind. I, personally liked the controls, the cel-shading art style, and the brutality of these ones, lol. Oh, another Mario game I personally loved, you should check out Super Paper Mario. It's the third in the Paper Mario series, but it changed the whole game play from turn based RPG to the classic side scrolling style Mario game, just with the ability to change into 3D worlds for a set time limit. It's pretty fun. Not sure if you'd like these ones, but there's also the Metroid Prime games, the trilogy comes out in a few days (actually about six days. It comes out August 24th.), and it's set at a $50 price, so that's not bad. Three games for the price of one. You can also just pick up Metroid Prime 3: Corruption by itself for about $30. It's a science fiction first-person shooter, but doesn't really have much of a storyline. What I like best about Metroid Prime games is that they are generally more challenging than most modern-day shooters, even though the first one is still the most challenging in my opinion. These are just a few games, but I hope it helps. = ) |
