The $20 games are usually all thrown into a bargain bin, especially when dealing with Wal-Mart, so it can be a little difficult to look upon any of them as good games. However, there are several "Diamonds in the Rough " as some would put it. For example, while looking through the bargain bin at my local Wal-Mart, I found The Simpsons Game and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. These are two games considered to be great, but here they are. For the most part, games that are in those bins aren't all bad, just old. If you read the back of the box, where the description of the game is, and you happen to become interested in what you read, go ahead and pick it up. If you don't like it, you can either take it back or, lacking that, keep in mind you only paid $20 for it, and use the other $40 you normally would have spent on it's release date to go buy 2 more bargains. Basically, we can't tell you what's good in your local Wal-Mart, but we can give you hints. If you are into Shooting games, find Call of Duty or Metroid Prime 3. If you are into Action/ Adventure, look for games like Zelda or some of the Sonic games. If you like games that make you laugh, go for Simpsons or Wario Ware. The point is, we can't really say for sure what you will like. Just look through and judge for yourself. It is a daunting task, but there are times when it pays to scrounge through the bins. |
