I need help on how to get my tv to work for video games?

Question: I need help on how to get my tv to work for video games?

(Posted by: Ash ash on 2010-03-06 23:23:59)

Okay so I have a RCA Thomson 1999 TV and I'm trying to play my 360 on it. I plug the 3 cords into the back of the tv and then turn on the xbox 360 but I can't find how I'm suppose to make it go to the game channel or whatever it is called. I tried changing the channel but there is no AUX or channel 1 or 0. The lowest is 2 and that is almost the same thing as channel 3 (regular cable) except channel 2 is more blurry. The channels go to 127 but skips a lot of channels and they're all nothing except that gray thing that makes that loud annoying noise. So, could someone help me on how to get to my game channel thing?

Have you tried pressing "input " or "source " on the remote until you get a signal from the xbox? i used to have a tv that you could only do it from the remote...also, double check that the yellow cable is in the yellow port, etc.

It might be that you have to change the switch on the cord that connects to the tv from hd - > normal, or from normal - > hd. That's how I fixed mine, but I had a different problem than you. Also, Is there a button on your remote that says AV? If there is, press that and see if it works. Hopes this help you :)
