Question: Capture card to record video games?

Ok so i want a capture card to record RCA at one point i had a k world pci DVD maker its was a great card but i lost the wire for it and the software no longer works ... i also bought a pinnacle 800i the quality sucked and the audio was unaligned.Im thinking on buying a Hauppauge the could someone plz help me find NOT a brand but a model that i can buy with great playback quality.
