Question: Am i the only girl who likes video games?

Okay, this is making me mad. I have a PSP, PS3, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color/ Advance Sp, and a PS2, and that's fine, to me. But all of my little brother's friends say I "Act like a boy " and it's making me mad. Just because I don't go "lolol i like little dogs and tanning! " doesn't mean I act like a boy. I am literally the Master of Spyro (It's a joke!), I've been playing that game since I was 6 and now I'm 16, I can beat the whole game in one day without dying. And I've been playing Gran Turismo since I was 4. So you know I have alot of time with Video Game Consoles. But that's not the point, in fact, that's a little pathetic... But I am just wondering, girls, have you had anyone insult you for essentially enjoying yourself? Guys, do you get disturbed by girls playing video games? Thanks you guys, I knew these people were being douches... :(

Know I think it is perfectly normal that you like videogames my sister is 15 years old and she still likes to play RockBand,Guitar Hero, and Grand Theft Auto sometimes you are just doing what you like to do and thats perfectly normal and people should respect that.

Nah girlll, i love Silent Hill 3, Half Life 2, Wolfenstein, Metal of Honor Frontline, Metal Gear Solid 3, Kingdom Hearts 2, L.A.P.D., Sims 2, The Great Empires Collection, Grand Theft Auto, Animal Crossings, Harvest Moons, i love it all <3 and i love shopping at the same time.

Cmon, it's just video gaming. I don't mind. Everyone has their own interest. Be proud of what you are doing. At least you don't do drugs or anything degrading. You are just there sitting at home and being a nice girl. Don't mind those people.. maybe they are just jealous they don't have gaming consoles. Cheers!

Well, I still think that I'm too young to have a Girlfriend, but I would really like it if my GF would be a video gamer! It's pretty awesome that you play video games. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, but it's obvious that the majority of video gamers are guys (which is sad, IMO). I do not get disturbed by girls playing video games. It's like saying that I don't want to have any friends that like video games. If a boy and a girl both like video games, it's a good thing. They have something in common. If I would hate video games, then it would be a different story (although I'm not sure if it will be a good different story or a bad different story.)

No you are not but since it is an uncommon hobby for a girl people are going to be ignorant and find that strange. As for me I couldn't care less about who plays games because the majority of games are universal

I am: female 27 years old a master at Mortal Kombat with Frost, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero a master at Soul Calibur with Taki the owner of 3 video game related tattoos so far the owner of 62 PS2 games and 9 PS1 games ranging from Spyro to Silent Hill someone who knows more about video games than a LOT of guys I know and very willing to show that knowledge off and seriously own them or any guy willing to try me

No you're not the only girl who likes video games. I'm 14 goin on 15 and I like video games. people say I act like a boy too but I don't care. I started playing games like devil may cry and stuff at the age of 8. don't worry it's not weird just unique so keep being you

Your not alone,my girlfriend is 21 and she plays games.They probably just tease you because you kick their butts and they cant take it!If you like games then you like games.I'm 38 and i still play,i only play racing games and shooters and i dont spend alot of time doing it but i still like it.Oh and anyone that plays Gran Turismo and understands that it always has been and will be the best racing game ever is fine in my book!!Just be yourself and play games if thats what you enjoy.That goes for most anything else in your life as well!
