Being a former employee of Gamestop, generally the rules are the same, Yes your copy was opened, but only for display reasons, there is a employee policy allowing them to test the game, but management supervise everything taken in and out of the store and if the product was damage the employee is told to pay for the damaged product(Plus it help in determining if you even want to buy game you don't know about)..The second reason is that the companies that make the game don't give out free display because it isn't cost effective..The final reason is loss prevention which should be self explanatory. Off-Topic:The return policy is kinda funny in the Handheld area, since it generally harder to copy a Gameboy Cartridge or UMD and you'll also notice the sell value of all the handheld don't drop as fast... PS: The employee policy doesn't apply to PC games... |
